BIG BAG discharge station with dosing screw and integrated weighing device
Discharging BIG BAGs and dosing the material simultaneously - that is what we were asked to do when we developed this station.
In order to assure proper handling of toxic and badly flowing materials the station is equipped with several features.
The Fig. gives you an overall view of the station which is approx. 5 m high:

The FIBCs are placed on the station by the integrated chain host. The FIBC outlet spout is connected in a dust-free manner, and large massager elements as well as a telescopic spout stretching device support the discharging process. The dosing screw and the weighing device that weighs the entire station are arranged below.
Massager Four big massager elements can be controlled independently and support the material flow even if bulk goods with poor flow characteristics are handled.
Dust-tight quick connection device The inflatable clamp connection is very easy to handle and ensures a long-term dust-free operation.
Outlet spout stretching device The BIG BAG outlet spout is stretched downwards because it must always be taut and waveless. A tensionless spout often leads to material bridgings. The stretching device is provided with a telescopic pipe but does not have any sealing liner which could abet dirt deposits!

Annular clearance dust hopper with exhaust device to accept dust and material residues that may fall down when exchanging the BIG BAGs
Evacuating device to evacuate the air which is left inside the BIG BAGs. This avoids dust problems during bag disposal.
Built-in dosing screw The dosing screw is equipped with an agitating spiral to aerate the material and to evenly fill the screw spirals.
Weighing device The station including an integrated crane is placed on load cells. For this purpose a rigid frame is mounted below, with a recess in the operating area. During crane operation the load cells can be tensile without any problems.
